CURRICULUM AND BIBLE VERSION
At CCCS both Christian and secular texts are used. We have worked hard to determine what curriculum to use, and we continue to review and revise on a yearly basis.
The use of Scripture in the classroom is a fundamental and integral part of the educational process at CCCS. We recognize that there are several Bible translations which are widely accepted. Each of these translations is preferred among some segments of the Christian community. To avoid confusion in the classroom, CCCS is choosing the NIV (New International Version) as the translation normally used for study, quotation, and memorization. A copy of the NIV Bible will be included on each student’s list of required materials at the start of the school year. Parents who want their child to memorize Scripture in the King James version should notify the teacher BEFORE the beginning of the school year.
